Art of Living Yoga: Standing Sideways Bending One Arm(Konasana 1)

  1. KonasanaStand straight with feet together and arms alongside the body.
  2. Breathe in, and gently raise the left arm up.
  3. Bend to the right as you breathe out; keep your left arm pointing towards the ceiling.
  4. Turn your head to look up at the left palm.
  5. Keep elbows straight and focus on gently moving your pelvis more to the left, keeping the feet firmly pressing down.
  6. Hold.
  7. Breathing in, lift your body back up.
  8. Breathing out, bring the left arm down.
  9. Repeat with right arm
  • Stretches the sides of the body and the spine.
  • Tones the arms, legs, and abdominal organs.
