| Art Of Living Yoga: Sri Sri Natya |
|
Do you swing your hands and twirl around when you’re happy? Do you express joy by jumping up and down and running across a room? You express the happiness of your mind - by moving your body. You want to simply let go and dance! It’s interesting that many dance movements have their roots in exercise. Indeed, dance is an extension of exercises, performed gracefully! The neck rotations and eye movements of Bharatnatyam* are exactly like Yoga Asanas. The Sri Sri Natya was born by assimilating dance and yoga. Note: * Bharatnatyam is an Indian classical dance form Benefits of Sri Sri Natya
Sri Sri Natya was started initially with just one teacher Mrs. Ganga Thampi, who hails from Kerala, India. She teaches at a renowned institute for art and culture in Chennai, India. She has choreographed many dances and groomed many students, and is a recipient of the prestigious MGR Award, and Kaladarpanam Award, to name a few. Today there are four more teachers conducting this beautiful program throughout India, reaching out to wider participants and enthusing them with the joy of dancing and also taking them to greater depths through meditation. To experience the bliss in dance and see the dancer dissolve while only the dance remains, come experience Sri Sri Natya.

Ravi A Padmanabhan I begin by saying that this is A MUST DO COURSE for all Art of Living members. when we dance to the tune of songs and music in yoga postures with divinity in mind, a flash comes to mind that we are indeed divine.
Seshadri Jois I was hesitant in the beginning as i am a Blood Pressure patient. My BP is quite normal now, and the heaviness in my chest is gone. I feel very active and enthusiastic.
Ramesh, Managing Director of a renowned firm. The two hours I spent at this course everyday, is something I have never experienced ever before. This course has been able to take me away from my work tension entirely. I feel a lot of peace now. I find this more enjoyable than any party or other kind of dancing. I recommend this to the entire corporate world.
Sujatha Krishnan, House wife I have a very stiff body, but I find that these few days have rendered my body light and flexible. I feel happy all the time. It is an experience I will cherish.
